Egg bound…? Egg peritonitis?

One of my hens recently began presenting as horribly sick. Lethargic, not drinking/eating, being pestered by rest of flock, drab comb, very unsteady on her feet and unable to sit/rest on her abdomen. Abdomen was ROCK SOLID and painful to touch.
Long story short…after several attempted intervention - sadly she passed.
Curiously, I checked for impacted eggs and found a GIANT (softball sized) mass in her abdomen with the consistency of hard boiled egg yolk…can anyone confirm this suspicion…want to make sure the rest of my flock isn’t at risk for disease.

There are many breeds of laying hens that are highly susceptible to reproductive tract issues due to genetics. As far as I'm aware it's not contagious but if you have more hens from the same line they could be at a higher risk for it.
