My chicken has been egg bound since Friday. I have been soaking her in 1/2 hour increments a couple of times a day rubbing her belly and sitting with her on a heating pad. She is eating scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and even a little bit of greens outside, drinking, and pooping (some white/green, some yellowish, and even a little brown) definately uncomfortable. How long can this go on? thanks

Not sure how long it can last but I did experience this with my sexlink, Rosie, last winter. I kept her inside to keep her warm, did the baths, and had a light on her to keep her comfy. I did notice that providing oyster shell made a huge difference. She ate it up like crazy then gave me some jelly eggs and finally a good hard shelled one so maybe that will help your little gal as well. Good luck!

Put some vaseline on your fingers, insert your fingers, see if you can feel an egg, it might be a broken egg, but the vaseline will help her to pass the egg.
