Hi guys. This morning, one of my hens (6 mounths old Golden Comet) had a limp. I looked for injuries on the feet and legs, and found nothing, besides, i realized she limped sometimes with both her legs, (one at the time obviusly
).
Anyway, no injuries, moving her legs with no problem, just a wierd walk, and not moving around like the others.
This group of chickens is starting to lay eggs this week, so after a few searches i thougth it might be Egg bound. Picked up the latex gloves, did the exam, and bingo, there was an egg inside her.
Gave her a warm bath (not too hot), put some vaseline on her, separated her from the others, and after a few hours an egg came out. Shes eating and drinking again, but still not moving around a lot. Is this normal? Or should i do something more?
