Egg bound egg broke what to do

I have a 1 year old B.O. who for the past several days hasn't been right. I did warm bath x2 and tonight helped pull a broken cracked egg from her vent. Her comb is still red, I fed her olive oil soaked bread and she ate quite well is drinking but just more lethargic. Do I need to do anything else for her. I have her inside for the night with me. Should I start an antibiotic and which one how much? Sorry a newbie to this and she's one of my babies. Thanks

Oil soaked bread is for impacted crop but if she liked it that's great. I would give her lots of fluids and good food. Not too many treats but scrambled egg is often good. You should never give antiibiotics unless there is a known infection. I would keep her quiet and warm and observe her for any other signs of trouble. She may pass the rest of the egg or might not. If you didn't get all of the shell you may have to consult a vet.

I hope she is better soon. You are giving her excellent care and I'm sure she appreciates it. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the reassurance hopefully she'll be okay with the shell out now it should be easier for her i would think
