Egg Bound? Help Needed.

I normally don't post under here.. But I am not sure what to do. I have a little bantam black Ameraucana that appears to be egg bound.

Symptoms include:
No interest in food or water
Puffed up
Not pooping
Crop is empty
Didn't lay her egg in 3 days
Quiet
Slow
Tired

She appears cold.

What I have done:
Hot bath for 15 minutes (she loved this)
I then boiled some water, set it in a pan with a rack over it and a strainer over the rack with some towels and a box covering all that (think steam room) She has been in the steam box for 2 hours. Nothing has passed. She seems a bit more alert, and pooped when I tried to gently inspect her vent.
The poop was watery and loose.

She is on grower crumble with a side of oyster shell.

Anyone know any more I can do to save her? She is 5 months old and just started laying a couple of weeks ago. So far she has laid one soft shelled egg and the rest have been perfect.

Could she have worms?

It sounds like you're gonna have to go in there and feel around.
Rubber glove, Preparation H, and a strong stomach.
If she is egg bound, it *should* lube her up enough to make it pass.
I have heard of crushing up some Tums and feeding it to her, but have never needed to do it myself.
And be careful if you have fingernails, you don't want to break the egg if that is the problem.

Even though she has been on medicated feed, never outdoors and she is the only one affected?

The poop that has come out is not even a little bloody. Very lose. The urate is yellowish. I don't have high hopes for her recovery now. She is inside in a playpen with a heat lamp and has had two steam treatments. Pooped 3 times since last night. I have forced her to eat a little at a time.

I will look into corid, though in Canada, I don't think that is available here. I have never seen it at the stores.

Thanks. I have tried, she is just way too small. She tops out at maybe 2 pounds MAX. My pinky is even too big. I think she may have laid the egg (broken) and this is the result of an infection from the yolk.

Poor little thing. I am not sure what else I can do. She is so young.

aoxa, Sorry to hear you have a sick one. I've never had this but have seen where people use a rubber glove and some vasoline to lube up the vent to possible help the egg out. Good luck.

I hate this feeling I want to help her, but I am stuck. She is too small to lube up and check out in that way, and she won't eat.

She came from someone I thoroughly trust. They have 0 parasites. No lice, mites or anything like that. Worms are a possibility, but would she really go downhill that fast? I might have to call a vet and see what they say.
