How do you know if a hen is egg-bound - I have posted on the emergency area of the forum too, but what are the signs for an egg=bound hen? I would think it would be fairly uncomfortable but mine is sitting quietly on the nest, and has been for the past 7 hours. She is a Barred Rock, 10 months old, small but no problems in the past, lays well. There may be much more to having home poulty than I thought.....
