Egg bound hen???

My hen has been laying around the coop and squatting in the nest boxes. I didn't think she was laying, she's almost three years old, but I'm pretty sure by her behavior that she is trying to lay an egg. Thursday is when she started to act sick. But I think it's getting worse. Yesterday I gave her a warm bath which she seemed to enjoy. But it didn't seam to help. My other hen was egg bound and slowly suffered until she died. I really don't want this hen to suffer the way she did. What can I do to make her better???

my hen die a few days ago of vent gleet. she had similiar symptoms, i read that often times its too late to save them after they have visible symptoms
