Hello.
One of my Americaunas was laying in a hidden nest on Sunday (we found 12 eggs and took them all...I didn't realize I should've left one). I got one egg from her on Tuesday. One of the dogs disturbed her while she was laying in a box on Friday (boy was she MAD). On Saturday she was standing around with her tail straight up in the air. I knew something was off, I just figured she was laying a misshapen egg (due to the disruption).
When she let me pick her up I knew she really didn't feel well. I was moving her into isolation. She had egg white dripping out of her. As I was prepping a waterer, she laid an egg.
The outside was thin and there was no "yolk". There was a complete egg inside of it.
She hasn't laid an egg since. She isn't standing still, she joined the flock right after that egg was laid. She's been roosting/free ranging on Saturday/Sunday. I've had them on lock down (since she's not the only one hiding eggs) Monday, Tuesday, today. No blue eggs (hers are blue with little bumps).
Do you think she's alright? I was told she was 2 when we got her (& her flock-mates) in January. Perhaps she's done laying?
Experience appreciated. Sorry if this is a silly question.
