Friday morning I noticed one of my barred rocks walking funny. Tail down feathers ruffled she couldn't jump. When I got home that night she was in the coop at the top of the ramp going into the house, because there was no way she could make it onto the rod. After looking online, & checking for injuries on her, I was convinced she was egg bound. I brought her in, gave her a nice Epsom soak she did not disapprove of. She didn't even want to walk. I worried about her a lot & in the morning I got up & she seemed very wobbly. Standing was hard & she would loose balance easily. I took her to an avian vet & it was kind of disappointing. They offered x-rays, & blood tests, said that they may not show much anyway & a calcium /vitamin D injection. (Around $700 total btw) Or euthanasia. She's a year old & doesnt seem sick- I went with a cal/vitamin D shot +electrolytes & some pain medication. She is still in my bathtub snacking on feed & dinking a little water- I am stressed out about it! When I brought her home she did lay an egg about an hour later & it had a very thin shell...

Pictures?
Thanks!

She is still really wobbly. Doesn't want to walk around, but she's eating & pooping more normal. In my bathtub.

She is very alert & I have been giving her more calcium because she's laid two eggs with very thin shells, maybe she's become deficient? I always thought the feed & with foraging she'd have enough. Hope that's what it is, because if it turns out to be Merecks, sounds like I will be done soon with my flock. I'd be so sad. I really enjoy them
