For the past 3 days I've noticed my buff Orpington who started laying months ago, isn't laying anymore. She spends all her time in the hen box and I believed that she was egg bound. However, other than being in the coop most of the time she is fine, eating and drinking correctly while her vent doesn't seem out of the ordinary. I've noticed iffy poop coming from the flock so I've given them probiotics, extra protein and their monthly dose of de. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Buff Orpingtons are known for being broody. Mine went broody at 8 months old. They stop laying when they are broody. It was so hot here that I decided to put her in a tub of tepid water to cool her off and break her broodiness. And it worked, she even seemed to enjoy it. If your hen was egg bound you would see an egg stuck in the vent, also she would be walking slowly with her feathers all rumpled not wanting to eat or drink.
