Egg Bound?

Just as an update, no improvements at all but she's super lively, eats, drinks, and moves around.

Update - So her crop is FULL, which has me worried about sour crop/not getting enough nutrients. I'm guessing the mass/EYP is so large it's inhibiting her digestion. She's adjusting it a ton too with snake-like head movements. Gets around fine even though she walks with a limp/very slightly upright.

She's been doing alright and I've been letting her be a chicken and enjoy being in the coop/run (we just have one other chicken at the moment, Gretchen, so I'm not worried about her being stressed in the coop). I'm thinking of setting her up an isolation area in the coop though so she can hopefully process what's in her crop without eating even more - so in isolation with just water. Been awhile since I've looked up what to do for sour crop but I can smell her breath later just to confirm - I do have miconazole on hand and I think people use ACV, maybe some kind of oil to help the food pass? I'll have to refresh myself on that one.

If she can't pass it though, pretty much the best thing to do is cull I'm assuming.

Think we're dealing with sour crop! Poor girl can't catch a break. I'm assuming the two are related somehow, she's never had any crop issues in the past either. Very large, squishy crop, she does poop. I've got her in a crate in the coop so she can stay with her friend. ACV water and miconazole with a little scrambled egg. Yesterday while eating egg she threw up a little, crop is the same size as it was yesterday.

My other girl has a... how do I explain it, gurgling noise, almost a purr, happening - notably only when she walks. Not respiratory I don't believe, I'm leaning digestive issues or gas? Something that is getting moved around when she walks? She's older, maybe 3 years old, lays her usual amount, eats/drinks/acts fine. This started about a week and a half ago but I did a quick online search and it said to keep an eye on it, and I've been so focused on my Maran lately I haven't addressed it. Thinking they might have gotten into something and it started a crop/digestive imbalance for both?

Crop issues are often a symptom of an underlying condition like reproductive disorders, worms, coccidiosis, infection, etc.

Treat the symptoms as they arise and do the best you can.
Just about every hen I have had that did have a reproductive problem also had crop symptoms. It can be hard to resolve since there's inflammation in the body, perhaps some swelling, fluid, material in the abdomen, etc. and of course all this affects overall organ and body function(s).

The other girl with the gurgling, check her crop to see if it's emptying. If it's not, then address her symptoms as well.
