Egg Bound?

I honestly have no idea what this is. Is it the same thing as internal laying? And is there anyway I can prevent it? How do I treat it? How do hens get it and at which age? I read about this so much but really don't know.

I'm pretty sure it happens when a egg gets stuck in the hen...but I'm not real sure on details...

Eggbound is where a formed egg gets stuck inside the hen. Here's info about it:

Internal laying, I believe, is where the yolk finds it's way into the abdomen, instead of forming the egg, and an infection begins. (also called egg peritonitis)
