Egg Candling - with photos

I got mine at a sporting goods store. It was marked for clearance. It was brand new never opened so I don't know why it was on sale. It is rare to find them for less than the website prices too. That is why when I saw it I snapped it up.

I use a good small mag lite from Lowes and do the same thing...........

I want to say thank you for the post. My son says you can not candle with a flashlight. He must have one of those store bought candlers. He showed me what he wanted oh boy he wants that incubator that has the telescope looking thing on it...I told him he was welcome to purchase it and pay for it. Then I showed him you post... We are going to get brave a try it one day...

I'm going to have to seriously upgrade my flashlight.

I stole DH's Hitachi Koki (from his screwgun set) and made a small cardboard funnel. Works great, but I'd like something better. Thanks MP

Interesting...
I have a strong LED flashlight but never thought about narrowing the beam.
Hands-free method sounds good too....
