It’s my 2nd time incubating goose eggs, we candled them and now one is left. Its air cell looks healthy but a dark mass only fills half the egg. We can see a beak/foot in the egg and think it’s alive. It’s day 23 already. Is it alive?

Can you please get a picture ?

No veins, so it is dead. I don't know about geese but judging by the first photo, I would guess it died a few days ago since you would have been just past the 75% range today (assuming 28 days incubation.)

I find it helpful to open the eggs to see what I can see. I would recommend doing it outside since it might have died a few days ago and might smell. But you can learn roughly when it dies and that might help for later hatches.

Thank you. Will do that.
