Egg Carton Hatching Good or Bad???

Here are pics of mine, I cut the lids and sides off they are about 1/2 inch tall when I am done and I cut the middle dividers out too, so they don't bump into anything as they are hatching out. I do it 1/2" so that way they do not have that far to get out, and wherever they pip you can see the hole.

I have done this every time I have hatched and I love it. Good luck and if you have anymore questions feel free to PM me.

No they just flop out onto there sides or make their way over to other eggs and encourage them to hatch also....most of mine have always pipped toward the top and they are sitting up, and they just kick out....It seems to me it is more simple and yes cleanup is a plus too.

What happened?!

I was hatching silkies eggs and I had watched them pip and some begin to zip when I had woke the next morning 6 out of the 12 had gotten their tops flipped ontop of the other eggs and the ones inside could not push off of anything to get out and died in shell.

Alright good luck... I just read teresan's post and I have never had that happen, out of 13 hatches at least....that is sad. But I will do it again this time too...
