You can also try contacting restaurants. They might have cartons to get rid of

I just started selling eggs. I was such a dingbat - I bought the pretty colored cartons and cute stickers (25) and thought that would be plenty, and I would get them back. HAHAHA I found some on Amazon for .42 each. I’m not anticipating them sitting around to collect bugs, but that is a disgusting thought

I offer a discount to people who bring their carton back. The caveat is that carton is strictly for THAT customer. I have had customers bring back cartons with egg residue in them. It's a breeding ground for bacteria so those are not reused even for that customer.

I give the same discount if they bring whatever carton they have.
It's actually fun to see the looks on their faces when they bring a blue Wal-Mart carton labeled "large eggs" and once loaded with mine they cannot be closed.

The roach thing is like the housing used for live crickets at petsmart. Some people raise their own roaches to feed to other things like lizards.
