Egg-cicles!? So angry...should I try to incubate?

Ok...tomorrow they will be going in the incubator! Thanks everyone, you all made me feel much better. As for trying to get pregnant but not....well we tried that and have a beautiful baby boy.

So, it gives me hope. I'm soooo excited, wish I could throw them in the incubator right now. Heres my list of eggs...two of each:

Buff Orpington
Light Brahma
Golden Laced Wyandotte
Light Sussex
Welsummer
Partridge Penedesenca
Wheaten Penedesenca
White Empordanesa
Rose Comb Brown Leghorn
Golden Polish
Ameraucana/Araucana hybrid
Black Ameraucana

I have also refridgerated some of my own eggs while storing them to get up enough and got better hatches from the refridgerated ones than the non refridgerated ones.

Always try to incubate! I ordered eggs from a wonderful BYC member, who packaged wonderfully! But the PO screwed up royaly and instead of getting to my house in 3 days they got here in guess what? 9 day! 9 DAYS!

BUT! 2 out of 18 are going strong on day 14 and i couldn't be happier! Except I still detest the PO:mad:

I got some off of ebay and mine got here like fridge eggs..I let them sit for 24 hours put them in the bator and 21 days later have 6 chicks out of 10 eggs.

Well I candled the eggs, and didn't have a strong enough light to see through the brown ones, but it appears that the light ones all either have broken up air cells or air cells on the side instead of the large ends. I just don't know if I'm doing it right. I'll try to post pics after I get the baby to sleep.

I would love to see what will be the outcome of your eggs .Living in a cold climate has stopped me from ordering eggs because of the fear of the cold ( It's driving me around the bend !!!) and what the eggs could handle , i have heard of people hatching refrigerated eggs but I guess it depends on what the setting was on the fridge that would determine the outcome ? I do hope that you have some success ( a lot ) and please keep us posted

That happens frequently on shipped eggs. Sometimes storing them 24 hours, pointy end down can repair that, sometimes not. I always put them in the bator anyway, and pull at 10 days if they candle clear.
