I have 20 hens that give me a lot of eggs. Cleaning the eggs can be a real job at times. I am wondering how others clean their eggs.

I keep my nest boxes and hen bottoms clean and NEVER clean an egg, not even for eating. If any are too dirty they go to the trash or back to the animals.

Otherwise, I depend on the bloom to keep my eggs fresh for as long as possible... and EVEN at 6 months old in the fridge my eggs were STILL on par with super market eggs.

Some people store at room temp, but it is my understanding that in a single day on the counter they age equal to a week in the fridge. :)
