We're planning to go away for a couple of days and I'm wondering about eggs that are laid while we are gone. Will they still be edible if left out?

Basically, how long can they be left out before needing to be refrigerated?

So long as they are not laying out in the direct, hot sun they'll be fine until you get back. Make sure there is plenty of nest litter in the box and that it's roomy so that you lessen the chance of the eggs breaking as the birds enter and leave the nest.
