Anyone know what color eggs these Easter Eggers laid. I have found a blue and a pink egg, and I really want to know who laid what.

No way to tell for sure unless you see them, but I'd guess the top one laid the pinkish egg and the bottom one laid the blue egg. This is based only on the fact that the blue/green gene is closely related to the pea comb gene, and the bottom bird has the classic pea comb. The top bird's comb shows influence of some straight combed breed a few generations back, probably to boost egg production in hatchery stock.

X2. No way to tell until you catch them. And I also think the first layed the pink and the second laid the blue. Like donrae said she looks more likley to blue/green gene, And not that this matters because It dosent prove who laid what at all but I had a hen like the first that laid a pink egg.

If you dont have time to sit out there waiting for one to lay, you can spray some blue kote on one of their vents and when the egg comes out it will get some purple color on it. Its safe and harmless for the bird and the egg but the hen will have some purple butt feathers for a while.

O, ya I forgot about that trick. You can use food coloring too, that is what I usually use.

I isolated the black and white one today for about an hour, and she laid a PINK egg!
