Egg color of Americauna has changed? Anyone ever had this happen?

Our americana is 6months old and
has been laying Lt. blu eggs never had any other color.

I have two Blue Ameraucana hens from a breeder. I bought them last year at a show, and I recall I was disappointed with their egg color (It was very green!) They both now lay a blue egg.

I have wondered if the Rooster brings anything to the party to contribute to egg color, or if their diet has anything to do with it? I have to admit, I'm kinda stumped. I have a Splash hen in that pen that lays a green egg though.

Nellie has started laying again, and is back to laying green eggs.

Her one blue egg was not as blue as the one posted earlier in this post, but it was still very blue. Weird. Gotta get her paint factory fixed I guess...
