I have a buff orp roo (one of Jodi's beautiful buffs!!!) and eggs from him and SL Wyandotte, Red Star, marans, several mixed chickens, and of course buff orp hens. I'd like my eggs to be a bit darker shade than my buffs (closer to my red stars shade of brown egg) so will my Buff Orp/red star, Buff Orp /maran hens lay a pale brown egg or a bit browner shade?? What dictates egg color in a cross in general darker dominant over ligher or vice versa. Thanks, Keystonepaul
