what color eggs do black giant lay. and how old are they at laying age.,:

Jersey Giants lay brown eggs, but I wouldn't expect eggs at five months from them. JGs are a very slow maturing breed. If yours are hatchery stock, they may mature faster; but still slower than more standard sized breeds.

chickens with white ear lobes for the most part lay white eggs, red earlobes lay brown eggs.

For example a Blue Andalusian is blue in color, but it has white earlobes.. so it lays white eggs.


(before coming to this site, I didn't even know chickens had earlobes)​
