egg color

Can an Arucana who has laid blue eggs prior to a 3+ month hiatus, now be laying pale beige eggs with a pinkish tinge? I'm getting some very pale eggs lately but no blue ones. Seems to me, once a blue egg layer always a blue egg layer but, hey, what do I know...I'm new at this!

Hi and from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. Sorry I can't help with the egg color. My EE's egg color didn't change, they are still blue. What other chickens do you have? Could it be an egg from someone else?

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

Brown and green eggs can become lighter in shade as a chicken lays, but eggs can not change from blue to brown or vice versus.
