Egg confusion

Before considering supplements, since good shells are about much more that the amount of calcium ingested, let's ask...
@terriminx what all and how exactly are you feeding?
Also how long have you had these birds?
I was assuming that you've just gotten them and the funky eggs were their first(tho I may have forgotten this already supplied info).
I feed layers pellets in the main with shell and mixed grits alongside. Late afternoon a small amount of mixed corn. Occasionally water soaked bread or mixed veg (they love the bread but not the veg). They also have a chicken stick which they can peck at when the need is there. Fresh water daily with a measured amount of poultry drink added.
I have had these hens for almost 7 weeks now. The first eggs were the 'lash' eggs laid just last weekend. The second good eggs were laid yesterday and today.

Also ... I was told the hens were about a year to 18mths old.
