Egg Cracked

Hi guys,

So it’s day 20/21 of incubation and this little part of my egg cracked. It’s in the air sac section of the egg and I’m not sure what to do... should I leave it? put tape over it? Anyone have any advice? It’s currently back under the hen.. should I put it in an incubator? Attached are photos of the hole in the egg if it would be helpful. Thanks!!!!

How did it happen? Has the chick pipped internally (through the membrane inside into the air cell?)

Looks like the broody hen picked at it. Im sure she had a reason to. Stick it back under her and wait.

Agreed. Put it back under and see what happens. It will probably make it out just fine.
