Our youngest has been laying regularly since November with no trouble. She laid a egg today, on top of their nesting box instead of her normal spot inside it (which indicates she knew it was weird), with a hole in it that had (what I hypothesized to be) dried chalazae, with poop stuck to it, sticking out of it. When I broke the egg to investigate, I found at least two yolks (only one intact after cracking). The hole is in the end closest to the camera and that's where the stuff is coming out.
She seems healthy and happy, eating normally and acting like her usual self. Has anyone seen this before?
