Egg delusions

I think that was my hubby's thought but I am guessing that the rest of the family will do that after the weekend. Her hubby might have already told her. Oh well. She will get them in some form in the coming year as we get together every few months and all bring something. I will be bringing some sort of baked good next time and hopefully no one tells her it came from my house as I am sure she will avoid all baked goods from my house in the next few years. I wonder what she would do if someone wanted a cooked duck or chicken from us?

I know the rest of the family was teasing her about liking her battery chicken eggs. I tried to steer clear of that conversation as I don't think it was getting anywhere... I said my educational bit and left it at that. I certainly wasn't going to give her eggs she wouldn't eat and it turns out everyone else wanted the duck eggs so I think I had brought enough so each family got 2 if not 3. Hopefully they all like them!

I'm sure they'll love the duck eggs!!!

At the farmers market I had a lady tell me if I washed my brown eggs they would be white like in the store and I would sell more. I think she was crazy. I sold all 24 dozen that day.

And another girl would not eat my eggs because they are not store bought eggs and store bought eggs are safe to eat because they are laid in completely sanitary conditions. I think she needs to do a lil google - ing.

does that even exist?

If it did exist, my daughter would have one mean case of it. I catch her giving the chickens a smooch on the head

I remember reading on another thread about the lady saying that to you about brown eggs. I don't think I would have been able to hold back my laughter! Nobody has said anything too bad to me. . . had someone say "I heard the green and blue eggs are better for you, is that true?" Oh yeah, and my cousin's wife said she can't bring herself to eat eggs from anyone's backyard flock because they "come from a chicken's behind."

I once told my sil, who was kind enough to give me eggs, That I don't eat double yolkers, "grosses me out"

Now thinking back, "cause all my extra large eggs I keep for just me" How rude and uneducated was that! Just a little young and navie.. Surprizing she still gave some to me... Now we give some to her, they got rid of their chickens for now.
