Metal roost not a great idea, especially in a cold climate....
....attach a 2x4 to that using some pipe mounts.
No bedding in nests...are those roll out nests....missing the trough cover???

Sadly that's what the coop came with, and I'll take the bedding out , and what is a trough cover, I'll be buying a board when I get one

I agree about the metal roosts. They’re just very uncomfortable in chilly weather. I would replaced that roost with a two by four.
