Egg dropped on ground (have question)

Has anyone seen anything like this .. The 5 hens we have now are about 1 yr old .. started laying last June (2015) .. They are "visual" healthy.. Eat well .. Do not see any issues that we are aware of .. Is this normal

 
Looks like a "misfire" - in this case the shell gland did not join in the process and you have an egg with membrane. Until/unless it becomes the rule rather than the exception - and you are certain that nutrition, hydration and general health are all in order - it isn't really anything to be too terribly concerned about as these things do happen now and then (after all, when you think about all the "moving parts" involved in the building of an egg it's a miracle that it works out so well 99.9% of the time).
