our chickens just started laying eggs this past week. We have 11 and I'm not sure who is actually laying the eggs. We got a total of 4 eggs last week and 3 so far this week (the girls are Rhode Island reds and Yellow sex link). All have been laid in a nest box, nice and clean. Today I sent my daughter out to check for eggs and she put down the egg bowl and a chicken sat on it and knocked it over, The 2 eggs inside came out and the chickens attacked the egg that cracked when it fell and gobbled it up. Are we going to have an egg eating problem now? How long before the girls are consistent at laying? They are 17 weeks old now.
