Egg Eaters

Both green and brown have been broken. Since I put the fake eggs in the nesting boxes, I have did not have any broken eggs yesterday or so far today. The other interesting thing is the birds are now using the middle nesting box. Nobody would use it before.
So, hopefully they will continue to behave.
They are now eating 18% feather fixer feed. When that is finished, I am going to switch them to this new feed I found that is formulated for free range birds. The protein is 21%.

Glad to hear no more broken eggs, hopefully that's the end of it.

Turns out it was not my chickens eating the eggs after all. My DH found a Steller Jay in the coop. Once we chased him away the problem stopped.
I hope he does not come back!

Hah D@mn Jays! Was going to say that egg looks very thin shelled, a toe puncture can turn into curiosity pecking then a pig out.
