egg eaters

I saw the other post about egg eaters, but there's no way for me to tell which of my 30+ hens is doing the eating. Any other solutions? Can I put red pepper on an egg to deter her?

Collect eggs multi. times a day. Add wooden eggs or golf ball. Curtins around the nest box, roll away nest boxes are all things you can try.

The bad part about an egg-eater is that she'll teach the other hens to do it too. Pretty soon you won't have a problem figuring out who's doing it because it's going to be the whole lot of them. If you are interested in getting eggs you need to figure this out and get her out of there. Also, you are not going to change her behaviour but she will change the behaviour of the other hens.
