No offence, but I see you saying that there are many ways to stop this when from egg eating, but you don't seem to be sharing any of these ways with the person that has the problem, all ways that have been suggested seem to have been tried already and did not work for this hen.

I am having the same issue and had someone recommend placing golf balls in the laying boxes. It has been almost a week with no evidence of them eating the eggs.

Everyone has advice based on their situation. Most is well meaning. You are the one that ultimately has to decide what is best for your flock.

Yeah maybe you can try the fake eggs but the best thing to do is to leave her alone in a coop or dog holder and leaver there with the fake eggs and it might break that bad habit of eating the eggs that's what I did once and it worked

The cure for an egg-eating hen is a man eating hen.

I think the punctuation is key. The first part, "egg-eating" describes what kind of hen is involved. The second part is the solution to the problem, namely that a man eats the hen. Notice that there is no hyphen between "man" and "eating" so this does not describe the chicken like "egg-eating" describes the chicken. The short quip is written in the style of a proverb.
