Egg eating

I have a couple of chickens who eat our eggs. Is there anything that could make them stop?
We try to collect daily but they still eat them before we get to them.
Any recommendations?

I've never had the problem but have heard great tips like making the hen boxes dark. Make the inside of them dark, and hang dark curtains over the front. After they lay the egg, they can't turn around and see it to eat it as they have in the past.

When you get a egg, poke a hole in it get all the egg yoke and everything out, and then fill it with musterd, chickens dont like musterd so 2-4 times later she will stop! Hope this helps!

I have a golf ball in each of my nesting boxes to discourage them pecking at eggs. They don't like how the balls feal on their beaks.

Some of my chickens were eating eggs and occasionally still do. I bought some fake eggs and put them in their nest boxes and made sure there was enough shavings so the eggs didn’t crack when they laid them. Sometimes they will still eat them but overall it’s been better.

No mustard is not bad for them.

What's their diet? Chickens often eat eggs if they're nutrition deficienct or have no water.
Blow out an egg, fill with yellow dish soap, chickens can't taste mustard.
