Hi there, I have two chickens, Henny and Tillie,

Both are 2 years old, one, a Rhode Island Red and the other a Red star sex link.

Symptoms: loose stools black and white spots in it, RIR irregular in laying
eggs and then eating them. Red Star molting.

Diet: Laying pellets, sunflower seeds, cracked corn, salad greens, bread,
oyster shells, grit.

They are wormed regularly, and other than that they appear healthy.

Any ideas on the RIR?

Thanks in advance

My best "chicken friend" and Mentor suggests when my hens start eating eggs to give them more protein, I've given them raw hamburger occasionally and the problem stopped. Can't hurt.

Hm..... don't know about the egg eating thing. my birds do it sometimes but only if an egg rolls out of the box. Not enough protein? I agree with Nancyinalaska-try raw hamburger.
