Egg Eating

I have been finding broken eggs... partially eaten in my nesting boxes. I have tried everything... putting curtains on the boxes, having decoy eggs, and giving them oyster shells. I have also cleaned up the eggs and put new shavings over the area each time. What can I do?

We cull egg eaters, I know it is not the most popular method and not acceptable to some keeping hens as pets, but for us it is the best method of dealing with it as we have two good sized flocks and can't afford an egg eater.

There is also the option of roll away nest boxes if they will work for you.

most other methods like mustard and fake eggs don't work for us and believe me I would much rather not cull, but chicken and dumplings is pretty tasty

When I had the same problem, it stopped when I rearranged the interior of the coop.
