Egg embryo extra large on day 10???

Hi! I’ve hatched eggs before but this egg seems like it might be bigger then normal for only being at day 10 I’ll post a picture but just wondering what you think and if maybe it’s just because the shell is so light and it’s a small egg?

It looks fine to me. Nice veins. Some candle everyday, I do not.. Candle again on day 14. Less you handle the eggs, the better.
 
I have had a day 7 embryo the size of a day 11 embryo before. I candle everyday sometimes. Usually I do the day 7, 10, 14, 16, & 18 candling. Day 18, is lockdown, so I candle for the correct position to set the eggs in.

Okay that’s great to know! Is ur hatch rate good with candling that much? Do they ever hatch late?

I usually have a 99% - 96% hatch rate.

My Orpington eggs for some reason like hatching on days 23-25. Even under a broody.
