egg exploded

I have had it happen to me once before about 4 days before lockdown. It smells awfully bad but that close to hatch I don't believe it will do as much damage as if you had just set them. The biggest thing I heard is to remove what's left of the egg and wipe off any that got some of the stinky egg on them. Just do not wash off the remaining eggs. Hope this helps!

ok so i have had my eggs lock down today is day 21 and i have pips at least 3 that i can tell i am happy bc of egg exploding scared me
 
woohoo 3 babies ths morning so far i have a silver laced wynadote a rhode island red think the other is a delaware 17 eggs still in
