Egg had a small pip is what I thought !

I found the egg with a small pip I thought now I feel another chick pecked the hole and I peeled back shell and it was shrunk but I found blood vessels and it was bleeding . So I put some medical tape over a thin piece of gauze and covered the hole , I’m gonna watch the chick all day and see how it does .

Sometimes they pip, & hit a blood vessel accidentally. Have had it happen.
A Chick wouldn't be able to break the shell of another egg from the outside.
