I was wondering as far as the gathering of turkey eggs for eating what is within the safe practice of timeframe that the eggs should be gathered before they are no longer safe to eat? how long if the hen has laid an egg and is sitting on it keeping the egg extremely warm, is no longer safe for eating the egg?

I usually collect mine within a few days. I've heard some people leave it there for a week. in random or extreme temperatures i'd get it asap

I collect the eggs in the evening, we eat our within a week. We have eaten some that were a couple weeks old, I was saving them to hatch but did not hatch them. Keep in mind that it takes about a week for the egg to develop spider veins when incubating if the hen is broody.
