I was candling some eggs that my broody hen sits on. Unfortunately I have to take them because she kills them after hatching. This is my first egg taken from outside and placed in incubator.. My problem is that I have 12 other eggs in the incubator that are only on Day 5. The egg I'm putting in seems to be around day 15. Will this chick hatch while in the egg turner with the others, or do I need to remove all eggs from turner until Peep hatches?!

You will need to remove the turner at around day 18, as chicks can get tangled in the mechanism. I would also suggest putting in a divider, or hatching your egg in a plastic basket, so that the hatching chick does not bash around your other eggs. You will need to hand-turn your later-hatching eggs..

It may be hard for you to supply what the different hatches need, as the hatching chick needs a higher humidity level, which may affect how your other eggs develop. Good luck.
