I have a egg that has been speaking to me for 30~ minutes. It varys on its loudness, sometimes I can hear it clearly others is quiet. I have been responding with my own coo's like a hen would and it will wiggle in response but I am getting worried, I heard what sounded like a break but saw no progress, is this normal? Update: Just pipped!

Making a pip is slow progress. I've watched one do so. It can take 30mins to an hour to make a pip hole.

Does it have other chicks for encouragement?

I'd give it more time. If it sounds to weak beyond the timeline, you can make a safety hole where the aircell is so it can get air.
Most important is to find the beak. This requires a bright light. Once you find the beak, make your hole. It doesn't need to be exactly where the beak is, but near it is fine too.
