Egg-hungry!!Will they start up again?

I have a handful of chickens who have stopped laying completely. Would this happen for numerous reasons or is it only for a molt? They are under one-year-old and I see feathers around but not an excessive amount?

WE are only getting 1 or 2 eggs a day (grrr) from our 9 chickens! Will those who stopped start up again this winter or are we going to be egg-hungry all winter! blah!

Could be a moult....Also, try putting a light on to increase their hours...It's really hard for them with the shortening of day light.

I am haveing the same problem, until about a week ago, my girls were laying fairly well, but since a cold front came through, they have nearly quit completely.

My girls are tapering off a little too. ISN'T IT CRUEL THAT THEY STOP LAYING IN THE WINTER MONTHS WHEN WE NEED ALL THOSE EGGS FOR HOLIDAY BAKING!!!
