Egg!!! I Got An Egg!!!

At 21 weeks and 1 day, we got our first egg from my Red Sex link, Zelda.

That little girl bawk'd her head off until all 32 chicks and 3 humans came running to see what she had done.

Now maybe the rest of them will follow her example.

Congrats and I am jealous ~ my two are 27 weeks haven't laid yet. Will they lay in the cold months or will it be next spring?

I just got my first on Tuesday. Then another chicken started to lay yesterday, and today I got 2 (TWO!) eggs! Mine are 24 weeks today. Yipee for us!!!

And GaNewChick, here's hoping your hens get to work on some eggs pronto!

What gives mine are 30 weeks and not one blooming egg.

Today I had DD go get the plastic Easter eggs...she thought I had officially lost my mind, then laughed at me when I put them in the nest boxes! She said Blanch would like the pink one

We got our first eggs ever this week too!!

Out of my tiny little flock our almost 6 month old Black Autralorps finally started laying- well atleast one of them has!!

It is SOOOOOOOOO exciting!!!!!
