Today is day 19, I put my egg on lockdown yesterday and since about 1:00 a.m. the little one is peeping away and the egg is rocking and rolling all over the place. I hatched my first a couple weeks ago and I woke to a pip and watched the progress until it hatched so what I'm trying to find out is it's been so active for so long with no pip. Is this normal? Is all this activity going to lead to the pip? I just dont want this activity to be the baby being in some distress and he's struggling to get out right now. When I saw active I mean this egg is all over.

Hi there - let me try and give you a little Trans-Atlantic information

I think this is normal and the chick is preparing to, or already has internally pipped.

Here's a thread I did earlier which should answer many of the questions

Or you can always visit our website for more incubation information.
