OK so first of all, Pumpkin our Bantam Cochin pullet was broody but after 2 chicks died while hatching, she gave up and left 4 Amer./Splash Cochin eggs and 1 RIR/Red Star egg. I put these eggs in the bator and have been turning them for a few days. One of the Amer. eggs is completely dark with veins, and has a small portion that is clear(where the yolk is). It has not pipped yet. I can see the chick inside the egg moving a little. The bad thing is that I don't know how old it is. I'm guessing it must be at least 18 days old, so I stopped turning it.
What should I do? What if it's not at least 18 days old? What if it was over 18 days old when I had it in the turner? I really want this egg to hatch!

Thanks!
