we actually had the electricity go out last week when my very last egg was still in the incubator. it was pipped but not zipped. and, well, i don't have cleavage, so i held the egg cupped in my hands instead, for about EIGHT HOURS... and finally the chick was acting like it was trying to zip, but was having trouble (i assume because of lack of humidity) so i had to help it hatch. but it's doing fine now

so it CAN be done!

Well... the chick is still chirping away! I work in an office all by myself, but I have customers coming and going all day long.... One guy stopped talking and looked funny, but I just kept talking and he didn't ask

With that big of a hole I hope it doesn't dry out! I can see the beak in there opening and closing but its body isn't moving.....

I don't think I have ever looked down my shirt so many times in an hour LOL!
