Egg in pocket

OH yeah, I have done that several times. I once did it with 5 eggs in my coat pocket didnt realize that i had crushed them in my pocket. Went walking back to the house put my hands in my pockets and got a handful of scrambled eggs. One thing that is good about being a scatter brain is my work jacket gets washed regularly.

Breaking an egg in your pocket is a rite of passage in poultry keeping.

Some feel the need to undergo this rite multiple times!

Yep, just had it happen 2 days ago.

have left many in pocket overnight, but I busted one in pocket as I was fluffing up the shaveings. just bumped pocket of a fannel jacket with the rake handle and heard the crack. Tried to get it out in one peice, but as soon as I touched it CRUNCH......fish out the 2 others that were in there, and wash the flannel...FUN....

I broke one in my jeans pocket several weeks ago

Thankfully, it was cold enough that the egg held together, and there was minor dampness from the white only

Me, too. And every time, I say "gotta get something to collect the eggs in". You'd think the mere repetition of that statement would make me remember to do it! You've heard the definition of insanity.... doing something over and over and expecting a different result. Guess that puts me in my proper place. And that feeling of sticking your hand in the pocket and pulling out a goopy mess. Yuchh.

I am glad that I am not the only one who checks the chickens in her dressing gown!!!!! Oh and wellies to. Havnt broken n egg in pocket yet. I have a nice wee basket that I use most times. But I can se it happening.

Been there done that! Twice! The first time I had my work Blackberry in the same pocket....try explaining that to the non-chicken people at work....I had to tell a little white lie. I have now learned to put the eggs in my little pail.

Yup, had one in my sweater pocket, and forgot about it, threw the sweater on my bed, went to put the sweater back on when I went to go work in the yard, saw the egg fly out of the pocket, right onto my carpet. good thing my hens must be getting plenty of calcium because I was glad the egg shell didn't break!
