Egg in tummy or am I going mad?

Are you talking about what brand calcium gluconate? It’s Durvet it comes in liquid and I give 1ml. Do you have oyster shell out for them?
Oh no! Someone laid an egg with no shell in the pool. They do have oyster shells, but I dont know who actually laid it. Is it normal in the start of egg laying? What can I do to give them a boost of calcium since I dont have calcium gluconate yet?

It is normal since they are just starting and getting the system worked out. I only use Calcium gluconate if one lays softshells in a row. Mine eat oyster shell like it's candy.
okay! I'll try to relax then...
I have seen them eating the oyster shells, but I feel the urge to hurry up with finishing my medical kit! I can't find the calcium gluconate by durvet so I think I'll order the powdered form on amazon. I won't risk it, though, I'll keep reading up and try to figure out dosage before I use it if they do run into issues. If I find something better in the meantime, I may just take the supplement myself! Either way, I'd feel better having something at hand while I figure it out.

is it worth possibly getting some live calci worms? They have good calcium content, and I could order some- delivery would be a few days so I'm wondering if it's worth getting some for them incase there are any more soft eggs? I was going to get some more mealworms, but since they're laying now, these may be better

Do you have info you can share I’ve never heard of calci worms
Of course!
This is an extract from https://ducksguide.com

"These calcium worms are the larvae of the black soldier flies and are natural nutrient-rich insects. Like their name, the worms are high in essential calcium. Calci worms are also a good source of protein, fat, and amino acid. All of these nutrients are what the ducks need to stay healthy."

Okay I knew about blk soldier worm but had never heard them called calci worms before.
sounds like they would def be a good source of calcium. What about price?
I buy mealworms for my flock and they are expensive.
Most of the time my girls do fine on oyster shells as their source along with layer feed. once in a while one will have a soft shell then if it's more than one they get the calcium gluconate.
I don't see any reason not to buy the calcium worms though.

I just figure it'd just be something new to try! And I guess a natural calcium boost cant hurt, now they're laying. Im not sure how much they are, actually, possibly more than mealworms but I dont mind the expense since its a treat! My girls love mealworms so hopefully they'd like these...
Im going to start *trying* to keep and breed my own mealworms, they freak me out but I think it's worth it so I don't have to keep buying them 😂

let us know how that goes.
will do! I *think* Sprightly laid her first egg this morning, very small but good shell! She flew into my lap this morning, very excited to tell me all about it 😁
I took a photo for a comparison to a shop bought chicken egg (my parents still buy them from the store)
I know it's not that interesting, but still quite scary and exciting to me!
